Frequently Asked Questions

  •  We use DHL couriers for express shipping to other parts of the world from Tanzania and it takes 3-4 working days.
  • After you place an order, we have to process it, it takes anywhere between 3 hours to 48hours maximum on a busy season or on sales. Please do not count processing time as part of shipping.
  • For  ground shipping on  orders to East Africa & neighboring countries (Kenya, Uganda , Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia ,Zimbabwe ,Malawi, D.R.C )it  may take 1-4 days maximum depending on the country. All orders to these countries (except to Kenya & Uganda) will be shipped daily except Mondays. All orders to these countries made on Sunday and Monday will be shipped on Tuesdays. Kenya and Uganda ground shipping will be daily .
We have a salon that is located at Mbezi Beach Tank bovu, ally Sykes road, no.84.  We sell our products on retail and wholesale ,we provide the best  crochet , braiding and other pre-braiding services such as wash and blow dry and all other hair services related to our brand.

  • soon as you submit your order you will receive an order confirmation email within a few minutes.
  • soon as your order is processed you will receive your tracking number by email. Processing time is anywhere from the same day for orders made before 2pm EST (Monday to Friday ) to 48 hrs maximum on busy seasons. Orders made during the weekend & on holidays will be processed the next working day latest.
  • We do not have tracking numbers for ground shipping (all regions in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, D.R.C Congo, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe) instead you will receive an email with the package ticket number and bus contact details and office address with which you will present to the bus company for order pick up at their respective offices.
If you don’t receive your tracking information, please check your junk mail. If still not seen please contact : with subject “ TRACKING NUMBER  NOT RECEIVED “  
Depending on the mobile operator some of them may be down at certain times due to regulations. We encourage checking out with the Tigo Pesa option where possible as we are aware that M-pesa and Airtel money are currently down. Pesapal wallet  or the Mastercard and Visa option are great options as well.  
Yes! You can plait your locs into cornrows and install the crochet braids on top of the cornrows. You may also use our Angelique hair to wrap on top of the locs to create thicker/longer locs or alternatively just switch the color up! The styles are not limited to these mentioned here, creativity is unlimited!
Our goal is to protect your hair in style, all hair needs protecting ! Our hair is suitable for all hair types, natural, relaxed / permed, colour treated hair and even children.
If you haven’t received an item , kindly send your order number to  within 5 days with the subject line “ MISSING ITEMS “ and we will be happy to assist and ship to you with no additional costs where applicable.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by a customer or a customer was not home for the delivery, DHL will attempt to return the order to Kimz. Please note that the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs as well as the re-delivery cost. Kimz hair is not responsible for packages delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by a customer and no refunds will be issued if any parts of the address are incorrect.
Although unlikely, If you receive any items damaged, please send a photo of the damaged item along with your order number to   with the subject line: ITEM DAMAGED. This should be submitted within 5 days of receiving your order so it is easier to investigate. Cases reported after this time frame will not be eligible for review.
We strive to have all of our products available for immediate shipping. Due to popularity & demand for our products, some products may not be immediately available. We will take all necessary steps to advise you in a prompt manner if this situation occurs. If it is possible to ship a portion of an order, we will ask approval and send out all available items and alert you once there is restock. Also try to sign up for waiting lists of your favourite items.
